The board of Financial Advice New Zealand has announced it is searching for its first CEO.

“Given the importance of this role in driving direction and delivering on the key objectives of advocacy, standards and promotion, we have appointed an external consultant, Jackson Stone, to ensure a robust, professional and transparent recruitment process,” the board stated in a newsletter update.

“We expect strong interest in this role from the founding bodies and externally.”

Both current CEOs of the Professional Advisers Association (PAA) and the Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA), Rod Severn and Fred Dodds, respectively, are contenders for the position.

The board anticipates the process will take two to three months with the closing date for applications on 11th March.

The board stated they aim to announce the new CEO by 15th May.
