Partners Life has appointed Rebecca Sellers to the role of Chief Legal, Risk and Conduct Officer.
Sellers is a lawyer with a financial services regulation and law reform background as well as psychology.
She has held legal, consultancy and financial services leadership roles in major law and financial institutions in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Sellers says she is pleased to join the insurer at a time when the industry faces challenges around sustainability, broadening the outreach of insurance, and a new regime for the regulation of financial advice.
“My previous experience with Naomi [Ballantyne] and her team at Partners Life attracted me to the company, which has demonstrated a strong commitment to good conduct and customer outcomes since its inception,” said Sellers.
“I look forward to progressing the company’s best practice work in these areas and many others.”
