The Professional Advisers Association has completed its final Special General Meeting on 4 October, marking the end of the association.

In a final note to its members, PAA Chief Executive, Rod Severn, said the board also came together for a commemorative tree planting ceremony in recognition of the PAA.

The ceremony took place on the final day of the Financial Advice NZ conference in Rotorua, in Blomfield Gully, where they planted a Miro tree.

“It was a lovely and appropriate gesture as the very first PAA (then PLUA) conference was held in Rotorua in 1953,” said Severn.

“From all of us (board, management and staff) thank you. It’s been a privilege and an honour to serve you. May you exceed all your expectations and enjoy great success in the future.”
