Suncorp Appoints Executive GM Customer Experience

Suncorp New Zealand has appointed Mark Wilkshire as Executive General Manager Customer Experience, effective 4 November 2019.

Wilkshire will be responsible for the delivery of Suncorp’s customer strategy across its Vero Insurance and Asteron Life brands in New Zealand, replacing Campbell Mitchell, who is now Executive General Manager, Claims.

Suncorp New Zealand Acting CEO, Adam Heath, says Wilkshire brings a strong track record of delivering for customers and building high performing teams.

“Mark has been responsible for the development of strategies for long term growth and attracting and building deeper customer relationships during his career.”

He has previously held senior executive roles leading marketing, insurance, lending and sales and service functions at Kiwibank, ANZ and the Bank of New Zealand.

AIA New Zealand Board Appointment 

AIA New Zealand has announced Tracey Cross will be a new independent Director on their Board, bringing the diversity of AIA’s Board to three women Directors out of a total of seven.

Cross is a partner at DLA Piper, has more than 20 years’ experience with DLA Piper as a leading lawyer in the funds management and superannuation industry.

AIA New Zealand’s Chair, Theresa Gattung, says, “Tracey brings a wealth of experience around conduct and culture. At DLA Piper she leads the firm’s conduct and culture initiative bringing best practice and insights to clients plus advising Boards and senior management.”

Cross added: “Joining an organisation with a focus on best practice conduct aligns with my professional expertise and personal passions.”
