The board of Financial Advice NZ has appointed Sonja Barrett as the organisation’s new Member Director – Risk for a period of three years. She replaces Cecilia Farrow, whose term has expired.

Barrett has been in the financial services industry since 2000, and is currently self-employed working under the Share FAP giving risk and KiwiSaver investment advice.
She is a Director of Habitat for Humanity, Chairperson for Migrant Connections Taranaki Charitable Trust, and a JP.
Board Chair Heather Roy thanked Farrow for her five years on the board. She was an inaugural director of the organisation.
