Fidelity Life is offering customers directly affected by the floods in Wairoa and Hastings’ Heretaunga Ward a premium payment holiday of up to six months.
The company states that customers facing financial hardship in the Hawke’s Bay area as a direct result of the floods can now apply to have their premiums temporarily waived for up to three-months.
The firm says there is also the potential for the waiver to be extended for up to a further three-months, without affecting insurance protection.
Fidelity Life’s Chief Commercial Officer Bronwyn Kirwan hopes the offer helps affected customers “…get through these challenging times”.
The Government has promised $3m to help clean up the area that has left some people homeless.
