Zurich has named Morris Garsin as its new Head of Claims Excellence for Australia and New Zealand.
The insurer says Garsin is currently working for Suncorp as its Head of Home Claims, specialising in complex natural hazards and vulnerable customers. He has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, including across life and general insurance.
It notes that at Zurich he will be responsible for driving the firm’s claims strategy and transformation, including the continued investment and implementation of technology to improve customer claims engagement and outcomes.
He will also play a role in accelerating the firm’s investment in claims technology, including AI, which the firm is already using and seeing benefits across claims management timeframes, vulnerable customer identification and data processing.
Garsin will be based in Sydney and will join the company in August 2025.
