Organisers of a global awards event celebrating the work of professionals in operations and business management are inviting nominations from firms in New Zealand.

The Business and Operations Management Network (BOMN) has been established by Michelle Hoskin and will host its first major event – the Empowering Excellence Conference and Awards – in September.

The full-day event, due to be held in London, UK, promises to deliver a high-impact agenda featuring keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities tailored specifically to operational professionals.

“This is the first network of its kind,” said Hoskin in a statement. “The awards are free to enter and these are global awards, open to businesses worldwide.”

She says the conference is designed to bring together operations professionals from all levels and across industries for a day of ideas, connections, and recognition.

The day will culminate in the presentation of the 2025 BOMN Awards, with categories including:

  • Rising star in business operations – spotlighting emerging talent
  • Excellence in client experience – recognising outstanding operational impact on client service
  • Trailblazer award for innovation in operations – for bold thinkers challenging the status quo
  • Outstanding business & operations manager – honouring leadership that elevates teams
  • Business excellence award – for organisations that set the standard in operational performance

Nominations close 25 July 2025, and winners will be announced live at the conference on Thursday, 11 September 2025 with a live feed for international finalists.

Early bird registration is now open, with the event welcoming both BOMN members and non-members.
