News that Partners Life’s well known Chief Operating Officer is leaving the company drew much reader interest this week…
Partners Life has announced its Chief Operating Officer, Dan Walker, will be leaving the company.
In a special adviser newsletter CEO Michael Weston says that it is with mixed emotions the insurer is announcing Walker will be leaving “…to take on an exciting new role outside of the life and health insurance industry.”

Walker joined Partners Life in 2012, not long after the launch of the company, in its New Business Team.
Since then he’s held a number of roles across the operations team as a Claims Manager, General Manager of New Business, Chief of Operations and for the last almost three years as Chief Operating Officer.
Weston says that in many respects, Walker’s career mirrors that of the business “…it’s a story of growth. [Walker] has been a valued member of our Executive Team, a much loved leader within our business and a passionate contributor in our industry.”
He adds that while it’s sad to see Walker leave “…this a great opportunity for him to further develop his career and he leaves with our best wishes for his continued success.”
The company is still finalising Walker’s last day, but Weston says he’ll be at the Partners Life Roadshow on the October 16.
