Financial Advice NZ will provide a snapshot of the wealth aspirations of New Zealanders during a webinar with Rhiannon McKinnon of Kiwi Wealth on Wednesday 2 September at 10am.
McKinnon, the firm’s General manager, Strategy and Partnerships, says her State of the Investor Nation report provides a comprehensive understanding of Kiwis’ perceptions of their wealth and confidence both before the country first went into the Covid-19 lockdown and then after the country re-opened under Alert level 1.
To give some insights…
- 32% of New Zealanders feel less wealthy now than during the 12 months prior to February this year
- Covid-19 has hit perceptions of wealth and confidence with high income earners feeling significantly less wealthy
- The gap between the haves and have-nots has grown, even though the gap stalled during lockdown
