Health Insurer Boosts Membership

Workplace health insurer UniMed has taken on Manchester Unity’s health insurance client base of 1,300 members – having decided to stop offering health insurance services.

In 2021, following 40 years of delivering health and sickness insurance products, Manchester Unity’s board decided to concentrate on investment and membership services.

“UniMed was an obvious choice to take on our membership, as a financially strong, long-serving non-profit member-society that is underpinned by its core values, and that prides itself on personalised care and service,” says Sanjiv Jetly, Manchester Unity’s CEO.

UniMed CEO, Louise Zacest, says her team has been working closely with Manchester Unity to ensure a smooth transition for its members.

The transition of members to UniMed was completed on 30 June 2022.
