Cigna NZ has appointed Stephen Moir (pictured) as an Independent Director to its board. He joins the insurer as new owner Chubb begins the process of absorbing the firm’s life, accident, and supplemental benefits businesses into its global operation.
Chubb acquired the portfolio of businesses for US$5.36 billion and announced completion of the agreement on Friday 1 July 2022.
Moir previously served as a director of The Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation, was a director on the BNZ board and Chair of BNZ Life Insurance and BNZ Insurance Services.

Moir is currently a director of Port of Napier, the Todd Family Office, and is an adviser to the ASB Investment committee.
