Business as Usual as Cigna Morphs Into Chubb

0

With Chubb having completed its acquisition of Cigna’s life insurance business in New Zealand on 1 July, Cigna NZ’s CEO Gail Costa is reassuring financial advisers the change will have no impact on their customers’ policy, coverage, or premiums.

“Should you or your customers need to do anything differently, we will be in touch to advise you of this,” says Costa in a statement to financial advisers.

Costa will lead Chubb’s insurance operations in New Zealand (see: Gail Costa to Lead…) and says that during the coming months Cigna will change its name to Chubb.

“This new name will appear in places like the bottom of our emails, letters, and on your bank statements,” she says.

…advisers will still work with the same team

Costa says advisers will still work with the same team, can use current Cigna contact details, and that adviser remuneration and their product distribution agreement won’t change with the transition to Chubb. Advisers can also continue to use all Cigna forms and tools as normal.

“You will notice things like the logo, email addresses, and forms an our website change over time to Chubb,” says Costa. “We will keep you updated as we progress our plans.”

Cigna has created a Chubb FAQ page here.
