AIA NZ has released its latest underwriting guide. Among the areas covered in the 30-page document are duty of disclosure, medical limits, insuring non-earners, and changes to Covid-19 exclusions.
AIA says while it has used a Covid-19 travel exclusion for customers travelling overseas, it has now removed the exclusion for most travellers and countries.
There are exceptions though:
- Those travelling for an extended period (circa >6 months)
- Those travelling to countries that have high infection rates, high mortality rates, and countries with low vaccination rates
