Nib says its newly-launched underwriting engine will offer improved functionality and design to help reduce wait times, increase automation, and make health questions easier to navigate during the underwriting process.
The firm says new applications will automatically use the new system, but in-progress applications will be processed under the old system until the end of June due to their 90-day save period. After this, all applications will use the new system.
Nib says key benefits include…
- Increased auto underwriting capability, so more of clients can have their policies issued immediately
- More available ailments and conditions to choose from
- Search for and insert specific ailments and conditions that need to be declared, allowing advisers to select multiple options at once
- A new option to select if advisers can’t find the specific condition their looking for
- Clearer questions, where possible, making them easier to answer
- Updated calendar feature that allows advisers to select the relevant year and month that an ailment or condition occurred
