Almost 600 advisers attended Quotemonster‘s country-wide roadshows, with a further 130 taking part in an online session that completed the company’s promotional events for its updated website.

The tour took in 15 venues, from Invercargill to Whangarei, with the final leg being held in Auckland on Friday 11 August.

Those attending the events heard about the website’s legacy product research tools, product comparison option, general site upgrades, and the introduction of AI tools to help advisers find the best product for their clients.

Among the key presentation team were the company’s Director Russell Hutchinson, Kelly Pulham, National Partnerships Lead, and Aneel Ravji, Advicetech lead – although other members of the company attended roadshows in larger venues, with representatives from the FMA also taking part.

Quotemonster, now in its fourth generation, has more than 4,000 registered accounts, 1,000 research users, and features products from 16 insurers.

“The part advisers were most interested in was using AI so we can read any insurer’s quote documents and quickly bring that information into a needs analysis,” said Hutchinson.

“The best research enhancement was the launch of our standalone head-to-head which enables comparisons with legacy products, where we do not have pricing, and even between two products in the same range – such as different version of trauma cover offered by the same insurer.”

Hutchinson also said attendees asked about research issues, the use of research in ensuring compliant SOAs, and that there was some good general industry conversations.

“We had some great feedback about the income protection rating review we are about to embark on,” he said. “The service has done more than 15 million quotes over the last 12 years.”
