Partners Life has updated its underwriting guide, the announcement follows the firm’s introduction of planned changes to its trauma policies.
While full details are available to advisers in MyPartnersLife, changes cover the following:
- Clarification of clients currently on parental leave
- Clarification of when the firm can consider resident doctors working >60 hours on TPD and monthly disability
- Clarification of calculating maximum sums insured for disability
- Clarification on how Partners Life treat KiwiSaver for calculations within monthly disability covers
- Clarification on income splitting
- Update on the restrictions applying to monthly disability to high risk (also including changes to cover eligibility for self-employed clients)
- Removal of the restrictions around waiting period reduction as per updated policy wordings (N/A – this has been removed)
