It appears the stresses of Covid and the resulting impact on people’s lives, together with firmer industry regulation, and other pressures, continue to impact many advisers’ mental health.

Our poll follows the release last year of a report published by AIA that indicates the overall wellbeing of advisers has improved over the last couple of years.

The report’s authors say advisers who are coping well are managing their stress by seeking support from product manufacturers, industry peers, groups, and FAPs.

Of those who have so far taken part in our poll, 31% indicate they are in abetter place than a year ago, 45% are not, and little has changed for the remaining 24%.

Considering your mental wellbeing, do you feel in a better place than this time last year?

  • No (52%)
  • Yes (27%)
  • About the same (22%)
  • Not sure (0%)
