Nib Welcomes Two New Board Members

Nib NZ has appointed Josephine Gagan and Sophie Haslem as Non-Executive Directors to its board. Jacqueline Chow stepped down from the board last year, but remains an independent Non-Executive Director on the Nib Group board.

Gagan is Chair of the New Zealand Health Group; on the board of the Auckland Hospital Foundation, and Chair of the Minds for Minds Trust.

She was Group Chief Executive of the New Zealand Health Group, and for more than two decades, she was CEO and owner of Geneva Healthcare, based in Auckland.

Haslem is current Chair at Kordia Group and is Deputy Chair at CentrePort. She is also on the board of Rangatira, Payments New Zealand, Livestock Improvement Corporation. She was also on the board of Ngai Tahi Holdings Corporations, an investment company managing more than $2 billion in tribal assets.

Her experience includes governance, extensive mergers and acquisitions, business strategy and technology.

Nib NZ Chairman Tony Ryall says the appointments reflect the firm’s commitment to board renewal.
