Asteron Life has announced the recipients of its inaugural MDRT grant programme for  independent financial advisers. The grants will help support advisers to support customers and accelerate advisers’ service provision.

“Attending the MDRT annual meeting is a wonderful way to provide exposure to the latest international thinking on best practice customer service and help raise the bar of professionalism in the independent financial adviser channel.”

The New Zealand contingent of advisers who travelled to the Vancouver meeting were invited by Asteron Life to apply for one of four $5,000 grants.

Of the 31 Kiwi advisers who attended, 15 submitted a grant application.

The 2024 Asteron Life MDRT Grant recipients are:

  1. Advice Plus (Auckland) – Heath Cleland / Jamie Lester: Integrating AI into the business
  2. ICIB Financial Independence (Tauranga) – Steve Freeman: Integrating AI into the business
  3. Share NZ (Auckland) – Aaron Baker: Increasing support staff and implementing functional changes within the business
  4. Plan B Financial Services (Christchurch) – Travis Hamilton: Deploying cutting-edge technological marketing strategies and tools
