Fidelity Life’s appointment of a Chief Claims Officer and its current Head of Individual Life moving into the role of Chief Operating Officer drew much reader interest this week…
Fidelity Life has announced the appointment of Seema Bangera as its Chief Claims Officer and appointed its current Head of Individual Life, Dave Winspear, into the role of Chief Operating Officer.
The insurer says Winspear had been identified as a potential successor for executive leadership for some time.
“With his extensive experience and strong reputation in the industry, he is well set-up to step into the Chief Operations role. His responsibilities will include underwriting, new business and service to our customers and advisers and strategic partners.”
Bangera joins the business from Asteron Life, where she was Executive Manager of Claims and Customer Solutions.
Fidelity Life CEO Campbell Mitchell says the company is delighted to have two such high calibre professionals to take up the roles.
“It will enable us to deliver greater value and stronger support for our customers and advisers…”
The insurer notes the changes occur as current Chief Insurance Officer, Niall McConville, has decided to return to his family in Melbourne. It adds McConville will assist with the transition over the next two months and will continue with Fidelity Life in a consultancy role.
Both Winspear and Bangera will join the business’ executive leadership team while the company says it has commenced its search for a new Head of Individual Life following Winspear’s promotion.
