Financial Advice New Zealand is holding a lunch with the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Scott Simpson, in July entitled A KiwiSaver Symposium.

Financial Advice NZ says the event offers a  “…unique opportunity for financial advisers and industry leaders to explore the adviser value proposition, ensuring KiwiSaver continues to serve as a cornerstone of financial security for New Zealanders.”

The association says that the Minister will “..engage directly with the financial advice profession for the first time, outlining the Government’s economic agenda and vision for KiwiSaver in light of the recent budget announcements.”

It notes this will set the stage for an in-depth discussion and perspectives with Retirement Commissioner Jane Wrightson and David Boyle, General Manger KiwiSaver at Fisher Funds, led by Financial Advice NZ CEO Nick Hakes.

“Together, they will examine the evolving role of KiwiSaver and explore how quality financial advice can shape New Zealand’s future prosperity.”

The symposium will be held from 12pm to 2pm on July 11, at the Hilton on Auckland’s Princes Wharf and is worth 1.5 CPD hours. Registration closes on 4 July.
