2025 MDRT Annual Meeting – Miami

More than 30 Kiwi advisers have descended on Miami this week to attend the 2025 MDRT Annual Meeting. Having been conducted in North America every year since 1927 (except in 1942 and 1945), this is an event every financial adviser should experience at least once during their career.

Attended by many thousands of advisers from 85 nations and territories, the MDRT Annual Meeting is positioned by the organisation as the premier annual event for financial advice professionals.

Extending over four days in Miami this year, delegates are experiencing a diverse range of value-added presentations and other interactions. Motivational messages are being shared from the Main Platform by some of the world’s best public speakers, but advisers have also been provided the opportunity to share their own wisdom from the Main Platform as part of the popular ‘MDRT Speaks’ series of presentations, which share the insights and experiences which have helped shape their business and personal growth.

Outside of the Main Platform, which caters to all delegates, other presentations include those being delivered by advisers at the smaller and more intimate MDRT ConneXion Zone platforms, together with Focus Session presentations where delegate numbers can exceed a thousand in these break-out sessions.

Many NZ advisers have also been active as committee members within the organisation, while also volunteering their assistance at the event itself.

The MDRT organisation now boasts over 95,000 qualifying members worldwide and in recognition of its continuing growth, has developed the MDRT Global Conference, which is conducted in other regions on an annual basis, including in South East Asia, the Middle East and in the Pacific region, including Conferences held in Sydney in 2019 and 2022.

The 2025 MDRT Global Conference is being held in Macau from 24 – 27 August.
