Partners Life has announced the appointment of Debbie Eyre as Chief Operating Officer, effective from February 2026.

The insurer says Eyre brings more than 25 years of executive leadership in banking, investments and insurance “…with a reputation for inspiring teams, driving transformation, and delivering sustainable growth in complex environments.”
It says that at Chubb Life and Cigna, Eyre transformed operating models, modernised technology platforms, and delivered significant improvements in customer and employee satisfaction.
“She is renowned for her strategic thinking, resilience, and ability to inspire teams to embrace innovation and deliver exceptional value. [Her] leadership has enabled organisations to scale rapidly, supporting both organic expansion and … forward-thinking moves that set them apart in the industry,” the company says.
Eyre says she is driven to make a real and lasting difference for employees, distribution partners, and customers and is energised by the opportunity to work alongside the team both in New Zealand and across the wider Daiichi Life Group.
CEO Michael Weston says Eyre’s “…strategic vision and people-first leadership style are exactly what Partners Life needs as we continue to grow and evolve.”
The insurer says that as COO, Eyre will play a pivotal role in shaping Partners Life’s future “…driving transformation and operational excellence across claims, customer service, underwriting, and new business.”
