AIA NZ’s Chief Distribution Officer Angela Busby retired at the end of 2025.
Nick Stanhope, AIA NZ Chief Executive Officer, says Busby retires after a long and successful career in financial services.
“Angela has made a significant contribution to AIA NZ and the wider industry, holding key executive roles and helping to shape our business strategy and strengthen adviser relationships,” he says in a statement.
Jonathan Beale, AIA’s Head of Strategic Accounts, stepped into the Chief Distribution Officer role in an acting capacity from mid December 2025, “ensuring continuity during this transition”.
He was appointed to the newly established strategic accounts role in June 2025 (see: Key Distribution Appointment).
Stanhope thanked Busby for her outstanding service.
Busby was previously Chief Customer Officer at AIA NZ and prior to that held the role of Chief Strategy Officer at the company.
