The offer by Booster Financial Services Group to acquire a majority of the shares in financial advice business Lifetime’s parent company, Lifetime Group Holdings, has become unconditional.
In an update on its website Lifetime says the offer went unconditional on October 23, and from October 30, 2026, Booster will become Lifetime’s parent company.
Lifetime says this is a great step forward for the company and its clients.

“It brings together two New Zealand businesses that have worked side-by-side since 1998, with a common purpose: Booster is on a mission to build the financial resilience of every New Zealander, with Lifetime helping clients to create greater financial certainty through all life stages.”
It notes that the Lifetime name, team and leadership remain in place.
Booster Group confirmed in late September it had made an offer to buy all the shares in Lifetime Group Holdings with Booster Chair Paul Foley saying at the time that a key principle of the proposal “…is the continuation of Lifetime’s role to provide impartial financial advice, and for Lifetime to continue to operate autonomously as a stand-alone advisory business, separate from Booster’s funds management business.” (See: Booster Group Confirms Bid to Acquire Lifetime Group).
The latest update also notes that Booster’s majority ownership of Lifetime means some Lifetime shareholders holding a minority stake in the Booster group.
