The Financial Services Council and Workplace Savings NZ have released the programme for their 2019 annual conference.

The conference was announced in February (see: FSC and Workplace Savings NZ Launch Annual Conference…).

Its ‘Towards Wellbeing’ theme will explore how the Government’s Wellbeing ambition translates into the Financial Services sector and how the industry can better serve New Zealand.

FSC CEO, Richard Klipin

“This is one of the flagship events in the New Zealand financial services and that is reflected in the high calibre of the programme that has already been pulled together”, says FSC CEO, Richard Klipin.

“The main platforms will be focused on the big issues confronting the sector from wellbeing to culture and conduct to diversity and prosperity.

“Attendees will have the opportunity to hear first-hand from political, regulator, and industry leaders on some of the most challenging and interesting topics facing the sector in 2019,” Klipin added.

He said speakers are still being confirmed but will include:

  • Minister of Finance, Hon Grant Robertson
  • Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Hon Kris Faafoi
  • National Party Finance Spokesperson, Amy Adams
  • FMA CEO, Rob Everett
  • BNZ CEO, Angela Mentis

“This exciting line-up will deliver invaluable insights and education and leadership opportunities for attendees,” he said.

“It has been a tough year in the sector and the conference is an opportunity to bring together the whole sector to challenge ourselves to do better for all of New Zealand”, added Klipin.

A more expansive Tech Alley will return in 2019 featuring New Zealand FinTech, HealthTech, InsurTech, EduTech and RegTech.

The 2019 Conference will be held on 11th and 12th September 2019 at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland.
