Financial Advice NZ continues its Bring in The Expert series of webinars with economist Cameron Bagrie.

Katrina Shanks, the organisation’s CEO, says its webinars have so far been watched by more than 2,200 people.

“This past week we delivered two webinars,” says Shanks. “These consisted of a panel of life insurance providers and motivational speaker Keith Abraham.

“In fact the feedback from Keith’s session was so overwhelmingly positive he is coming back in two weeks for a follow up webinar.”

At present, and subject to change, the planned webinars are:

  • At 10am on Wednesday 22 April, Cameron Bagrie – Economist. Cameron will provide an analysis of the economy now and post COVID-19 with a view on the financial services sector.

Cameron has been an economist for 20 years and for more than 11 years he was the Chief Economist at ANZ.

“He has a reputation for taking a forthright stand on even the hardest of economic issues,” says Shanks. “He’s worked as an economist at the National Bank, Treasury and Statistics New Zealand. His approach to economics is pragmatic and non-ideological.”

  • At 10am on Thursday 23 April, Companies Office – FSPR Technical session. A representative  from Companies Office will provide an overview of how to access the FSP Register to begin the transitional licensing process. This webinar is ideal for financial advisers who are continuing the application process and would like an overview of the process this is a technical session which will assist you.

In addition the organisation has launched an Adviser Peer Support Programme where advisers can contact senior practitioners for advice on how to navigate these times.
