Adviser Academy Opens To Support Business Growth

The Adviser Platform has launched a training and development academy to help support  business owners recruiting new advisers.

“Many businesses have a fantastic base and want to bring on a new adviser, but lack the time or resources to make it a reality,” says Ryan Edwards, The Adviser Platform’s Managing Director.

“Many business owners struggle to take time out of their day to properly recruit, train and mentor them. Our academy will provide a clear structure and create accountability for both parties, allowing new entrants to forge a successful career in the industry.”

Edwards says the regulatory shift across the advice sector has provided an opportunity for well-run businesses “…to expand and fill the gap left by the 10-20 percent of the market that is forecast to be downsizing or exiting the market”.

He says his academy, which will welcome its first intake in February, will provide more than product and provider knowledge as it will also focus on the mechanics of what being a successful adviser entails.

“It will have clear goals and a structured framework of accountability for both the recruits and the businesses they are joining,” says Edwards.

“The Adviser Platform has experience in helping adviser businesses grow and thrive, and is ready to help firms wanting to take the next step and bring on new advisers.”
