Staff at AIA NZ are taking part in Relief Run, a company-wide initiative to support World Vision Australia’s India crisis appeal.

On Wednesday 9 June, the AIA NZ team will run or walk 5km around the Smales Farm precinct in Takapuna, Auckland, while the firm will donate $30,000 to the charity. The AIA group has donated $2.5 million to World Vision.

The funds will be used to help pay for beds, oxygen concentrators, food vouchers, and tents for temporary Covid-19 care centres in India.

Nick Stanhope, AIA NZ’s CEO, says: “The scale of the tragedy in India is devastating, and we have family members, friends and colleagues directly impacted by the Covid-19 crisis. I feel it’s important we join this movement, and take this small step to make a difference.”
