Poll Result Shows Gap in Mental Health Support

0

The majority of those who have cast a vote in our latest poll indicate they do not have access to the support they need to manage their mental health.

While voting still has one week to go, the results so far show that 68% are not having their needs met. A modest 16% say they have access to the resources they need, and a further 16% are not sure if the help they may need is available.

Our poll follows a report out of Australia that indicates a high proportion of financial advisers are suffering as a result of working under the strain of Covid-19, regulatory change, and other workplace stresses.

The report from Deakin University says 73% of advisers are experiencing high levels of burnout from work, and 33% are seeking medical care to manage health symptoms caused by workplace stress.

As a financial adviser, do you have access to the professional support you need to manage or improve your mental health?

  • No (70%)
  • Yes (15%)
  • Not sure (15%)
