Support for a single dispute resolution scheme (DSR) is high with 63% of voters in our latest poll favouring it over the status quo of four schemes. The remaining 38% prefer to see no change.
Right now MBIE is reviewing the responses to its public consultation exercise of the country’s DSRs amid concerns the public might be confused or disadvantaged, due to each having their own set of rules.
A review of the schemes by MBIE found consumers could lose access to a DSR if a financial adviser or service provider switches from one scheme to another.
