Asteron Life is extending the Best Doctors telehealth service to its customers with trauma recovery and cancer cover.
The service, which provides access to an international network of medical specialists and local GPs, is already available to the company’s clients with disability insurance as well as eligible insurance advisers.
Grant Willis, Head of Life at Asteron Life, says the decision will extend the benefits of the service to more customers – the insureds, their partners, children, and parents.
“Life insurance is about providing support to our customers when they need it, and Best Doctors enables our customers to make medical decisions with confidence when they are going through a tough time,” says Willis. “Better yet, it’s included at no extra cost.”
The updated service from Asteron Life includes online GP consults, enabling customers to get access to New Zealand registered GPs within 24 hours, and a Mental Health Navigator service, which provides direct access to mental health experts.
