The latest round of product and service enhancements reported this week has prompted our latest poll, which asks you to reflect on the one element – above all others – which impacts the product choice you think will best serve your client’s needs.

Each of the factors we’ve itemised have their merits, depending on your experiences with life companies over your journey, and also on the nature of your clients and their needs.

But if you have to select only one factor – and you do – which factor finds its way to the top of your list most often?

…why do you favour one or possibly two insurance offers above others most of the time?

You may well reflect that each client interaction is different, and therefore the top answer should be that it all depends on the client’s circumstances. For other advisers, though, why do you favour one or possibly two insurance offers above others most of the time? Is it your history with that insurer? Is it their reliability? Is it the value-adds delivered by the insurer’s adviser support teams? Is it product rates or features?

Or, perhaps you’re an adviser who finds yourself saying to your client “Yes, that product offers lower premiums for the same cover, but this insurer always pays the 50/50 claims.”

Whatever your experience, we welcome your vote and will report back next week…
