Catching the attention of Riskinfo readers this week was our report on Cigna’s continuing journey as it prepares to trade under a different name following its acquisition…

By the end of March Cigna NZ will be operating as Chubb Life Insurance New Zealand.

David Haak, Cigna’s General Manager Distribution, says that while the change has been on the horizon for some time, the company is keen to ensure the transition for advisers is “…as smooth as possible”.

“They’ll be a few things to consider including accessing our new logo, marketing materials and application forms, and how to get in touch when you need us,” he states.

He says advisers will still be able to obtain support from the same team and that its Business Partnership Managers will continue to be their first point of contact.

Haak says the firm will email advisers on 22 February with a further update, on 6 March Cigna will transition to the Chubb brand, there will be business and under-writing workshops on 6-10 March, and that from 31 March the Cigna NZ brand will no longer be used.
