Our report on a raft of staff changes at Partners Life went straight to the top of the list as the week’s most-read story…

A raft of staff changes has been announced by Partners Life, with news that its GM Adviser Distribution – Mark Armstrong – is leaving the firm.

“Mark has decided to take some time out from his many years of providing outstanding support for advisers to consider what he wants to do next – something that he has well and truly earned and deserves,” says the firm.

Replacing Armstrong, who has been with the firm for 11 years, is Gemma Vivian who is stepping up to the role of GM Adviser Engagement, reporting to Andries van Graan, Chief of Adviser Distribution.

Vivian has been with Partners Life since 2011. Starting as an Operational Specialist, she moved into the Distribution team more than six years ago.

Elsewhere Gareth Allen has been appointed to the newly created role of Senior Manager Adviser Partnerships, reporting to Vivian. Allen joined Partners Life in 2016 and was previously Senior ADM.

Also leaving the company are David Reveley and Grant Parker – each are moving on to pursue fresh opportunities.

“The next chapter in our distribution journey is very exciting as we develop and implement our plans to modernise how we support advisers and adviser businesses in this more professional, highly regulated advice environment,” says the firm.

“We are looking to transform adviser support to be highly specialised and much more tailored to the differing needs of individual adviser businesses.”
