Fidelity Life has appointed Campbell Mitchell as its new CEO. He will join the firm in October from Suncorp New Zealand, where he is currently Chief Customer Officer.
He replaces Melissa Cantell who announced her resignation in January to take up the role of CEO at Aon NZ.
Mitchell has held executive responsibilities for a broad range of functions at Suncorp, including customer, sales, claims, operations, marketing and corporate affairs, as well as Acting CEO of Suncorp New Zealand from time to time.
Prior to insurance, Campbell had a career in the media industry, first as a journalist in New Zealand and the UK, before progressing to executive roles in digital, marketing, sales, and strategy with Fairfax Media / Stuff and NewsCorp in Australia.
Ian Clancy will remain as Fidelity Life’s Acting CEO until Campbell arrives to take up his new role.
