Advisers in Australia, concerned their current remuneration arrangements are falling short of what’s needed to run their business, are raising the idea of being paid for the work they do at claim time.

In a recent Riskinfo AU roundtable discussion, one adviser told how he spends 12 to 16 hours on each of his clients’ claims, and expressed that his remuneration should reflect that effort.

While remuneration in New Zealand might be different to that experienced by advisers across The Ditch, do you think the current system here will change any time soon?
