The Board of Partners Life has appointed Michael Weston as the firm’s next CEO, replacing Naomi Ballantyne who announced her departure in May. He will take up his new role on 4 March 2024.

Weston arrives at the firm from his role as Head of Strategy and Transformation for Manulife’s Asia business, based in Hong Kong. He was born in Australia and is married to a New Zealander.

Partners Life Board Chair, Jim Minto says Weston’s in-depth knowledge of multiple international markets makes him an ideal candidate to “…continue Partners Life’s journey of using intelligent innovation and excellent execution to deliver outstanding customer and stakeholder value”.

Ballantyne will continue her relationship with Dai-ichi Life Group in an advisory role for the APAC region.
