The draft version of the revised entry-level qualification for financial advisers has been published by the Workforce Development Council, which is now calling for feedback.
The main changes proposed to the NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) are:
- Minor changes to the strategic purpose statement
- More explicit reference to ethics and interpersonal skills as overarching requirements in the conditions for programmes
- References to wording are clarified and reflect Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services
The deadline for feedback is 9 February 2024.
The working group overseeing changes to the qualification will review feedback on 13 February, and by late February will send a final version to the NZQA for approval.
