AIA has appointed Alex Kühnast as its Chief Product & Strategy Officer, a newly-created role that sees him managing the firm’s product, pricing, investments, and strategy.
Prior to joining AIA, Kühnast was Principal – Head of Insurance Consulting & Actuarial Services at KPMG New Zealand, having moved from KPMG South Africa.
He has also held leadership roles at Different Life, been CEO at KGA Life, South Africa, and held senior roles at Aegon, KPMG Netherlands, and Hollard Insurance.
Kühnast is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and New Zealand Society of Actuaries. He also has a management certification from University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
