The Minister of Finance, Minister for Economic Growth, and Minister for Social Investment, Nicola Willis, will deliver a keynote address at Financial Advice New Zealand’s National Adviser Conference in Christchurch in April.
The organisation says Willis will be speaking in person on Day 2 – Shaping the Future of Advice Day. Her presentation will complete the trio of government and regulatory perspectives including Financial Market Authority CEO Samantha Barrass and Commerce Commission Deputy Chair Anne Callinan.
Nick Hakes, Financial Advice New Zealand CEO, says he’s delighted to add Willis to the conference programme “…to share the government’s vision for the New Zealand economy and the pathways to future prosperity.”
He says that to have Willis, Callinan and Barrass all attending the national adviser conference “…is evidence that our financial advisers are recognised as having a pivotal role in helping New Zealanders manage, grow, and protect their wealth.”
Hakes adds that conference attendees will gain “…valuable insights on Government and regulatory thinking in our profession and will be able to confidently share these insights to best benefit their clients.”
Financial Advice NZ says as a member of the Cabinet Willis will be speaking on the Government’s economic agenda and pathways for New Zealand’s future prosperity.
“With the conference narrative Shaping the Future of Advice, the Minister is expected to provide insights on the significant regulatory reforms being undertaken by the Government.”
