Fidelity Life is inviting adviser businesses across New Zealand to join its Career connect employer registry— a growing network designed to connect newly qualified financial advisers with real-world experience opportunities.

The insurer says that by registering, advice businesses can signal their interest in offering job placements to graduates of Fidelity Life’s new-to-industry Career connect programme.

It sees this as a chance to support and help shape the future of the industry while gaining connection with motivated, well-prepared talent.

Michelle Doyle, Head of Solutions, says that the 2025 cohort marks Fidelity Life’s largest intake to date, with 30 candidates selected from over 70 applicants.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for adviser businesses looking to grow or future-proof their teams. It’s a chance to connect with emerging talent who are ready to make an impact. We’re thrilled to see such a passionate group coming through, eager to become customer-focused advisers who will help shape the future of advice.”

Nick Wells, Director of Amicus Group, says partnering with the Fidelity Life Career connect programme has been a real advantage for his business.

“We have welcomed two graduates into our team, and both have quickly become valuable contributors. The programme sets them up with a strong foundation in financial services, but what’s impressed us most is the energy, fresh perspective, and genuine enthusiasm they’ve brought from day one.

“Career connect has been a great way to bring new capability and fresh thinking into the industry, and we are excited to continue building this relationship with Fidelity Life,” he says in the statement.

The insurer says that to date the programme has helped attract, train and qualify around 50 new financial advisers into the industry. More than 60% of graduates have gone on to secure roles in financial services.
