The conference in Auckland from March 24 to March 26, which is subtitled Shaping the future of advice, includes speakers from the USA, Italy, UK, Ireland, South Africa and, to date, four speakers from Australia.

Financial Advice NZ told RiskinfoNZ that there have been deliberate choices in bringing  visiting experts to the conference “…with a focus on bringing global insight into local practice. This helps advisers anticipate change, strengthen capability, and learn from markets where advice models, regulation, and client expectations are evolving at pace.”

Amongst the international speakers profiled on the Financial Advice NZ website are:

  • Mitch Anthony from the USA, President of Advisor Insights Inc. and Return On Life Advisors, which Financial Advice NZ says are companies dedicated to training those in financial industries to better serve their clients. He has been named one of the industry’s Top Movers and Shakers by an industry magazine. He will speak on “delivering value that will never be undervalued”
  • Kirsty Scully from South Africa who serves as Chairperson of the Financial Planning Standards Board Council, which ratifies decisions made by the FPSB Board for the 27 territories globally. Collectively, they uphold the global standard of excellence in financial planning. She will discuss global advice trends
  • Meghaan Lurtz, Ph.D. from Italy and the USA is, says Financial Advice NZ, a globally recognised expert in the psychology of financial planning and financial therapy, helping advisers integrate behavioural insight, emotional intelligence, and human-centred skills into modern advice practice. She will look at psychology in practice
  • Panos Leledakis of the USA is President and CE of International Financial Architects Academy who, Financial Advice NZ, says has 25 years experience in insurance and financial planning, and is a top-awarded insurance consultant and a Top of the Table, MDRT member. It notes he is a pioneer in the insurance industry and an insurance futurist, he is an expert in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, internet marketing strategies, automation, virtual and augmented reality, and cutting-edge technologies in the insurance sector.

The line up also includes Samantha Barrass, CEO of the FMA, offering the regulatory perspective.

…the conference is open to all advisers and advice support professionals…

Financial Advice NZ says the three-day programme includes interactive masterclasses, technical workshops, specialist focus sessions, and Communities of Practice breakfasts designed to support professional development, peer connection, and practical application.

“The programme is structured around the themes of people, practice, and policy, reflecting the professional, regulatory, and human dimensions shaping modern financial advice, with more expert and programme announcements to follow in the coming weeks.”

It adds that the conference is open to all advisers and advice support professionals and that attendees do not need to be members of Financial Advice NZ. However there are combined conference and membership package options available.
