He brings more than 20 years of financial services experience, spanning senior leadership roles at AMP, Westpac and ASB.

The company says he joined AIA NZ in 2025 as Head of Strategic Accounts, “and in that role has enhanced adviser engagement, deepened key partnerships and supported initiatives that improved customer outcomes.” (See: Key Distribution Appointment)

It adds that as General Manager Wealth at ASB, he led advisory distribution, product development, asset management and KiwiSaver, “achieving significant business growth and multiple industry accolades. At Tower, he served as Managing Director Partnerships, where he strengthened the insurer’s market presence by securing and expanding key relationships with major financial institutions and corporate partners.”

AIA NZ CEO Nick Stanhope says Beale’s appointment reinforces the organisation’s commitment to trusted relationships and long-term growth.

…His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow our presence in the market…

“[Beale] brings an impressive depth of experience across distribution and partnerships, and we’re thrilled to have him step into this role. He has a proven ability to strengthen relationships, lift performance and deliver outcomes that genuinely support advisers and their clients. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow our presence in the market and build a distribution network that is fit for the future.”

Beale says he is excited to step into the role.

“Having worked closely with our partners and advisers, I’m looking forward to helping our distribution teams create more opportunities, deliver even better experiences and support advisers in building long-term value for their clients.”

The company’s former Chief Distribution Officer Angela Busby retired at the end of 2025 (see: Chief Distribution Officer Retires).
