Fidelity Life has made $90,000 in grants to 18 community organsations all nominated by advisers.
The insurer says that through We support who you support, a nationwide initiative launched last year, it invited advisers to nominate community organisations they actively support.

It says through the programme, $90,000 has been directed to 18 community organisations “…backing causes advisers are already championing in their local communities.”
Fidelity Life says We support who you support gives advisers the opportunity to nominate organisations they are personally involved with, volunteer alongside, or are passionate about supporting.
Fidelity Life Chief Commercial Officer, Bronwyn Kirwan, says advisers are often at the heart of their communities.
“This programme allows us to stand alongside advisers and amplify the impact they’re already making, directing support where it can genuinely make a difference on the ground.”
Grants awarded through the initiative support a wide range of community causes, from health and wellbeing to food security, education and financial literacy. Recent initiatives supported include:
- Working with FMG and Melanoma NZ to support their presence at the internationally recognised Golden Shears competition, helping raise awareness of melanoma prevention within rural communities.
- Backing FMG’s charitable organisation Farmstrong at the Ales and Eats Food & Beverage Festival promoting mental health and wellbeing within the rural sector.
Earlier this month, Fidelity Life contributed $10,000 to support Wāhine Wanawana: Money Moves, a female‑focused financial literacy event in Wellington.
It says more than 150 women attended the event delivered by Wāhine Wanawana – Ara ki Angitu Charitable Trust in partnership with R&P Insurance, with all funds raised returned to the community and future workshops. Click here to see a short video of the event.
…By partnering with advisers, it is able to direct support where it can have real, local impact…
Fidelity Life staff have also volunteered alongside recipient organisations, including social enterprise Everybody Eats in Onehunga, Auckland.
Kirwan says that by partnering with advisers, it is able to direct support where it can have real, local impact. Fidelity Life is now exploring ways to get further involved with adviser-nominated organisations.
