A large contingent of 68 Kiwi advisers and industry stakeholders is attending the 2026 MDRT Global Conference in Sydney this week.
The is the third time the three-day annual event has been conducted in Sydney, following the 2019 and 2022 MDRT Global Conferences, where 4,500 advisers from around the world – the majority from the South East Asia region – are gathering for a shared experience that is arming them with thoughts, ideas and strategies to apply in both their business and personal lives.
The New Zealand contingent of 68 is the largest to attend the MDRT Global Conference and is an indicator of the growing interest shown by NZ advisers in the content, value and networking opportunities the global adviser organisation has the capacity to deliver.
ANZAC adviser members have held key roles in planning and delivering this event, at which both Kiwi and Aussie advisers are also having a presence on the MDRT Main Platform and at the various Focus Sessions across the three days.
Among those sharing wisdom with their peers, prominent NZ advisers Brian Burgess and Corey Williams, Partners at Christchurch-based SwainWoodham Group, double-teamed for an outstanding presentation on the MDRT Main Platform at which they delivered a selection of simple but powerful messages relating to the need for systems in advice businesses. Their respective stories both revolved around the proposition that better systems create better performance and Riskinfo will report further on this presentation in a future article.
In the meantime, Kiwi and Aussie advisers will be joining forces on the final night of this year’s MDRT Global Conference at the traditional ANZAC event, where they will once again demonstrate their elite, world-class networking skills – probably well into the evening.
