In a move indicating the growing popularity of digital technology among advisers, Partners Life has expanded the number of electronic signature providers for its life insurance applications and other client documents.
The firm says it has updated its list of electronic signature providers from nine to 14 due to requests from financial advisers asking for clarification on the acceptance of electronic signature services.
In a statement, the company says electronic signature services provide a safe, auditable means for clients to sign documents digitally and confirmed it will accept documents signed using the following services:
- 2Shakes
- RightSignature
- DocuSign
- AdobeSign
- Acrobat Sign
- HelloSign
- NitroSign
- Formstack
- DocHub
- PandaDoc
- Foxit eSign
- Odoo Sign
- Wondershare PDFelement
- Zoho Sign
The insurer says if the submitted document does not display the electronic service used, it may request further information such as the document’s audit trail.
Partners Life says memorandum of transfer forms cannot be signed using electronic signatures and so it will require a physical signature on these forms.
