For the second year in a row, Suncorp’s Asteron Life has won Life Insurance Company of the Year at the annual ANZIIF awards. The company has won the title five times.
Claire Sutton, Asteron Life’s Executive Manager – Life Portfolio & New Business collected the award with Suncorp’s Fraser Kerr, Manager – Life Pricing.
Asteron Life’s retention rates were noted by ANZIIF’s judging panel as ‘significantly higher than industry standards’ “…as evidence of the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction”. The firm was also commended for its approach to staff wellbeing and professional development.
More than 400 industry professionals attended the awards evening on Thursday 21 November at the Cordis, Auckland.
Suncorp’s sale of Asteron Life to Resolution Life is expected to be completed in January 2025 in a deal valued at around $298m.
