New Zealand-owned life insurer Fidelity Life has received the Life Insurance Company of the Year award at the 2017 New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
The judging panel noted the insurer’s focus on adviser education and thought leadership and using its voice to encourage positive change through regulatory reform.
Speaking at the gala event in Auckland on 16 November, Fidelity Life chief executive Nadine Tereora said, “We are humbled to receive this prestigious award.
“Its fantastic recognition for the hard work of our staff, advisers and partners in helping deliver on our purpose of protecting New Zealanders’ way of life,” said Tereora.
Customer satisfaction, innovation, staff development, contribution to the insurance industry and wider community, were all part of the award criteria as well as an overview of how the company intends to address changes to the market in the next five years.
Jonathan Winstone of Pearce Financial Services also was a finalist in the Young Insurance Professional of the Year award.
“Jonathan was also recognised with Fidelity Life’s ‘Rookie Adviser of the Year’ award earlier this year, so the future of the industry looks very bright indeed,” said Tereora.
